Opening Day Classic Scheduled for April 17th

 

The JBA will kick off the 2010 Season on April 17th with its annual Opening Day Classic.  The Opening Day Classic will begin around 8:30 am at the Jackson High School Varsity Field with a parade through home plate.  Each player will have his or her name announced and be greeted by the Jackson High School baseball players.

 

The teams will have their team pictures taken and will proceed to the fields for a scrimmage.  The day will conclude with the drawing of the winners for the Opening Day Classic Raffle sponsored by '91 and 3 Brothers Corner Tavern.

 

Pictures will be held inside the high school in the event of inclement weather.

**Highest Seller to Throw Out First Pitch at Cleveland Indians Game!!**

 

Your managers will be passing out tickets for the JBA's annual Opening Day Classic Raffle.  The raffle proceeds are used to maintain the fields, dugouts and equipment used by the players of the Township. Each player is asked to sell ten $5.00 raffle tickets.

 

This year, the player who sells the most tickets will get to throw out the first pitch at the June 8th Cleveland Indians v. Boston Red Sox game for JBA Day at Progressive Field.

Come see the Cleveland Indians play the Boston Red Sox on June 8th for JBA Day at Progressive Field.

 

Last year the JBA had over 800 people attend the 2009 JBA Day at Progressive Field, one of the highest attendances of any group last year.  Bring your family and friends for a parade on the field and seats to see a great game.

Umpire Classes are Coming!!!

Umpire Training classes have been scheduled for April 6th, 7th, 13th, and 14th.  Please check back for more info and registration details.
